On the road again

A few little public service announcements.
My apologies to all on my blogroll. I’ve been very scarce on the ground of late, and comments have been virtually non existent. The reasons are many and varied, but the bottom line has been just life in general, which I’m sure you can all relate to.
A-pop and myself are moving house. We’ve known for 6 weeks that we needed to move and much of my time and energy has gone into finding somewhere to live. This process, well here anyway, is one of the the MOST frustrating, lengthy happenings I’ve ever had the misfortune to have a need for! FFS, the things you have to do! You can’t apply for a house until you’ve had a look through. So, go get the keys{assuming they’re in the rental agents office at the time, and because they won’t let you book a time, it’s first in best dressed} If they’re not there, you sit and wait until they come back. Pay your 50.00 deposit, get the keys, then you have an hour to get them back. Remember we both work full time so this is all time out of our work day. Do that 3 or 4 times a week for any length of time and it becomes somewhat wearing let me assure you {insert anguished scream at this point!!}
Anyhow, the long and the short of it is, we now have a house. Took a while, but it was worth the wait. 3 big bedrooms, nice big yard, high set and all built in underneath. Lots of room.
That’s the good news, but there is a down side. This being Nth QLD, nothing happens quickly. We’re being told, at this point, it could be up to 3 weeks before we get reconnected to the net. Yes, you read right. 3 l.o.n.g w.e.e.k.s, n.o i.n.t.e.r.n.e.t!!!
F.U.C.K M.E!!! I can feel the withdrawal already!!! Someone get me a sedative. QUICK!!
Please keep your fingers, noses and toeses crossed, light candles and say prayers. PLEASE??? I need all the good vibes I can get that it happens quicker than they’re telling me it will. 3 fucking weeks! I’m going to go nuts after 3 hours!!!
*sheesh*
We physically move Wednesday morning, so I’ll be off the air from then until..well, whenever they get us back I guess.
In the mean time however, there will be posts. Before we go offline, I’ve scheduled the last few interviews to publish, and I’ll find a couple of other posts to do the same with.
My good friend Michael from Smoke and Mirrors will blog sit, and my humble little abode may also be honoured with the odd post from his creative pen, for which I thank him most profusely in advance.
So, there you have it…I’ll be non existent for some time from here on in, however, as I said, the posts will continue…I’ll catch you on the flip side guys
